John Paul Stevens #101 (1920-2019)

John Paul Stevens #101 (1920-2019). Justice Stevens autographs a first day cover postmarked February 2, 1985 depicting revolutionary patriot Charles Carroll. Stevens is captured by photograph in his robes and his traditional bow tie. He I also caught on the front doorsteps of the Supreme Court building with the Chief Justice Warren Burger. He is also seen in chambers with friends having a libation. There is also included a photograph of the Supreme Court Building with the holiday flag flying in a stiff breeze. There is also a first day cover envelope of Babe Ruth postmarked July 6, 1983. There is also another first day cover postmarked on the same cover and celebrating the American flag in a strong wind postmarked August 16th 1982. Justice Stevens attended the game where Babe Ruth hit the ball out of the park into center field just after Ruth pointed to center field. It has been suggested Stevens was one of the more enlightened Justices ever.
