Barnes was himself a judge and his court in Maine asked to be heard. At hearing, the Supreme Court, decided they had no jurisdiction as the Writ of Error was improperly filed. This board displays the autographs of Judge Barnes, one of the litigants and etchings of all 6 court members nominated by George Washington. Board size 24x36.
